How funny and heartbreaking it is: the moment someone shows a flicker of interest, we slowly walk them through our past, our present, our pains, and our dreams. We want them to understand every bit of us, the agonies and the insecurities, and still remain curious. We want them to choose us, not just in spite of everything, but because of it. We want them to choose us over everything and everyone, and to keep choosing us.
