Neo-Logophilia

Neo-Logophilia is where my love for words meets creation. It’s a space for neologisms—words that I coin myself or often use in my work that aren’t widely known—as well as rare and aesthetic words from different languages, expanding both language and perception for the reader.

Logophilia is more than just a love for words—it’s about feeling them, living them. Here, I don’t just define rare and beautiful words from different languages; I let them unfold like a story or a memory. Let’s give names to the feelings and stories we’ve lived and cherished—things we’ve always known but could never quite define in just a few words. Let’s bring different languages together on the platform of love.

  • Sukogita (sū-koh-ji-ta) I love this word—Sukogita, coined by Sadia Hakim, literally meaning “being stressed out and chill at the same time”—like when you have exams yet still scroll memes on Instagram. It’s a blend of “Sukoon” (سکون) from Urdu, meaning peace or tranquility, and “Agita” from Italian, meaning restlessness or anxiety. It encapsulates the paradox…

  • Les regrets sont les cicatrices du cœur (lay ruh-gray sohn lay see-ka-trees dy kuhr) Neologized and first used by Sadia Hakim, this statement means “Regrets are the scars of the heart.” The word cicatrices comes from the Latin cicatrix, meaning “scar,” and is widely used in both medical and botanical contexts to describe the marks…

  • Maybe life is not about seeking, but about remembering. Maybe we are not meant to search for meaning, but to recognize the meaning that has been a part of us all along.

  • I love how two people have the power to shape each other’s souls, destinies, journeys, destinations, and realities—positively or negatively.

  • L’éveil de la pluie (lay-veh duh lah plwee) I love this French phrase—L’éveil de la pluie, coined by Sadia Hakim, literally translating to “the awakening of the rain,” describing the first drop that breaks the long-held silence of the sky. Metaphorically, it is the first glimmer of hope after a stretch of despair, the quiet…

  • A new journey into rare and meaningful words Lovely Seyferts, I am officially launching the Neo-Logophilia Series—a neologism-based poetry project for those who love rare and aesthetic words infused with real-life depth. This journey began in 2019, when everything led me to pioneer the Blue Academia Project—a space dedicated to my lifelong love for words…
