They are the last generation to pass generational traumas as generational wealth. They are the last generation to confuse sacrifice with compromise. They are the last generation to follow cultural scripts without thinking for themselves.
They are the last generation to confuse blood with true support. They are the last generation to feed daughters the narratives that “your blood will kill you in shade at least.” They are the last generation to force marriages with strangers you know nothing about, or with a toxic family despite knowing everything about them.
They are the last generation to prioritize people-pleasing and societal validation. They are the last generation to take a ‘no’ as an offense. They are the last generation to think they know better just because of their age.
They are the last generation to ignore the fact that stupid and abusive people also grow old, so age and experiences don’t guarantee wisdom. They are the last generation to think the honor of a girl is either in their so-called nose or down there between her legs. They are the last generation to force a victim to marry the guy who abused her because they think no one else would marry her.
They are the last generation to feed narratives about gender roles, where men are allowed to do anything for being born men, or sons are the keepers of their “nonexistent wealth or honor” in the name of inheritance.
They are the last generation to prepare their daughters for a victimized and abused life from the day she is born, so she can survive any kind of abuse by being silent instead of fighting against it.
They are the last generation to put white bedsheets and do virginity testing on their daughters-in-law, or ask explicit details about the marriage night from their sons to issue a character certificate. They are the last generation to decide when girls will conceive and how many times and what gender their kids should have to be worthy of being treated as a human.
They are the last generation to force their sons to go for jobs based on titles or money, and not peace and skills. They are the last generation not to teach men house chores.
They are the last generation to doubt strangers extremely and trust their fake relatives blindly. They are the last generation to be abused by the same relatives again and again in the name of patience and goodness. They are the last generation to fake peace and happiness despite family dysfunction. They are the last generation to stay intentionally blind to life and its complexities.
They are the last generation to think that dowry guarantees a happy marriage. They are the last generation to think that cars and social status are more important than character for marriage. They are the last generation to compare their kids with others and give birth to sibling jealousy. They are the last generation to minimize the efforts and achievements of their kids in the name of motivation for doing even better.
They are the last generation to glorify their own abuse and put the burden of their unfulfilled dreams onto their children. They are the last generation to think they are mini-gods just for being parents or elders. They are the last generation to think life is all about following a script and acting like a machine.
They are not the innocent generation. They are the carriers of patriarchy and wounds and wars and scars and hatred and societal filth. They are the enablers, the victims who hate healing. They are admirer of inhumanity as culture. Because character doesn’t need advanced tech and degrees, but willingness and courage to unlearn and relearn values. They are a cowardly generation. They are the last cowardly generation. They are an unwilling generation. They are the last unwilling generation.
