The only way you can impress me is by being a human. I don’t care about your social status as much as I care about your emotional and human status. A person who can’t be emotionally intelligent can be neither spiritually nor intellectually intelligent.
I don’t care about the house you live in, but I definitely care about the company you live in — the tables you sit at, the people you walk with, the movies you enjoy, the hobbies you got, the jokes you laugh at, the pain you ignore, the wrongs you excuse, the people you envy, the voices you silence, the standards you lower just to fit in, and the masks you wear just to be accepted.
Because where you feel at home says everything about who you really are — not the version you perform for the world, but the one you protect behind closed doors. And if you live among hypocrites, parasites, or soul-sellers and feel at ease — that’s who you are at your core, no matter what mask you wear, no matter what character you play.
I don’t care how many times you pray if you sit on the prayer mat cursing people. I don’t care how much charity you do if you can’t talk humanly to someone you think is beneath you. I don’t care how often you fast, meditate, or worship if you break it with gossip, slander, or cruelty.
I don’t care how many sacred texts you read if your tongue only knows how to mock and your hands only know how to harm. I don’t care how loud you preach about justice if you stay silent when your own circle is doing wrong. I don’t care how many people know your name if no one feels safe around you.
I don’t care how expensive your clothes are if you strip others of dignity with your words. I don’t care about your sacred rituals if they never reached your character. Your heart is the real offering — if it’s rotten, your acts are empty.
Your status, your titles, your donations — all useless if you can’t offer basic respect and decency. I’ve seen too many people dress their egos in religion and call it piety. Keep that facade away from me.
Don’t come to me flaunting hollow actions — I’m not impressed by what you show, I’m watching how you live. I don’t bow to appearances — I stand for integrity, and if your presence feels like noise, I’ll mute you without hesitation. Not everyone gets to stay in my orbit — emotional intelligence is the entry pass.
The only way you can impress me is by impressing my soul, and my soul is only impressed by emotional intelligence.
